What’s your story – How and when did you end up in Austin?
Came here with my family when I was about 3 years old. Even though I was young, I was able to identify Austin as being a unique place with a great balance of just about anything you want
What’s a memorable experience or story about you and Austin?
A good one to pick may be my audition for America’s Got Talent. It was my first time being filmed for live television, and a real stepping stone from being just a dancer to an artist.
Do you see yourself in Austin in 3 years? 10 years?
I don’t ever see myself ever really moving away. 3 years, 10 years; doesn’t matter. Temporary relocation is probable in the future in New York or LA but I want to end up in the same place I started
What are 3 great things about Austin?
1. The people
2. The night time scene
3. The tolerance for just being plain weird
Any favorite Austin restaurants? Food trucks?
Korientes… Cabo Bobs… Oh no, don’t get me started…
Favorite local bar or coffee shop?
Negative. I’m a man who doesn’t drink alcohol or coffee. Let’s leave this question out 😛
Favorite Austin event / festival?
SXSW is with out a doubt the grand daddy of all Austin events.
What do you think Austin will be like in 5 years?
Like a sardine can. Cram packed with other people that smell. I love our tourists, but please don’t live here.
What do you do to deal with the Austin summers?
Stay inside and only go out when the sun is down. Vampire living.
Fill in the blank: Austin is ____________________.
Any final words of wisdom for our readers?
Too much to put, so let’s try a condensed version. Learn + Love = Grow. Learn something new everyday; anything. Love what you do and yourself everyday. When you do both of these, you grow as an individual. And if we don’t grow, then we’re just some wilted plants in the dirt wasting life
